(( Has anyone seen Pet Cemetery 2? Welp, this is inspired from it, you know the scene when Zowie comes back from the cemetery and he's on the rocking chair, I mean come on, how often do you see a zombie dog on a rocking chair!? Not often, so yeah.

Zowie and the PS reanimated aren't zombies, they are dead bodies possessed by demons/evil spirits and more in tune with the Deadites from Evil Dead movies in that sort of manner. In the novel of PS, it said that a Wendigo (a bad cannibalistic, psychic trickster demon spirit of Native American legends who can turn humans into cannibals if one touches you) soured the Micmac grounds and cursed it for whatever dead body is buried in the grounds will be reanimated in a day as a murderous or uncaring or insane shell of their former self or a cannibal. I'm sure Zowie was possessed by one of the other demons that lived in the ground while the master demon/spirit the Wendigo possesed Gus's body.
